Over the past day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine had several significant achievements in the war against Russian troops. We are talking about the destruction of the enemy command post and air targets.
Aide to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Oleksiy Arestovich spoke about this today at a briefing.
He noted that the state, position and nature of the actions of the enemy and the Armed Forces of Ukraine have not fundamentally changed over the past day.

– But there are several achievements on the part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. First, our troops destroyed the command post of one of the Russian armies. This is a huge military achievement. This, perhaps, means the death of several generals and, accordingly, a pause and disorganization in the conduct of hostilities by the enemy. And also during the day, our Air Force traditionally showed its best side. A total of 10 air targets were destroyed, — emphasized Arestovich.
He clarified that we are talking about the destruction of at least five aircraft, two helicopters, one operational-tactical unmanned aerial vehicle and several cruise missiles.
Arestovich noted that the enemy cannot defeat the Ukrainian army neither in the air nor on the ground, and therefore resorts to already traditional means of warfare:
1.It destroys civilian objects and terrorizes civilians. As an example, Arestovich cited yesterday's bombing of shelters in Mariupol (in particular, the drama theater), where civilians with children were hiding at that time.
– Losses are now being specified. But this international crime has already caused a huge resonance in the world, and now the world community will give a response, — he said.
2. Powerful information and psychological operations, the new theme of which is speculation that Ukraine is allegedly losing in negotiations with the Russian Federation to end the war.
– The principal position of the President of Ukraine (regarding negotiations with the Russian Federation – Ed.) is that, firstly, Ukraine should be recognized within the international borders as of 1991. Secondly, everything that we agree on should be better than before the war, because then why were the victims of the Ukrainian people. So you don't have to worry, — Arestovich stressed, assuring that the Ukrainian authorities would never surrender the national interests of the state.
