Design of the week: set accents with a table lamp

by alex

“Easy Peasy” table lamp not only illuminates our rooms, but also our mood.

It's true, people miss light the most in winter. The hours of sunshine are short and sometimes the sun cannot be seen for days. That missing rays of light affect the mind has been sufficiently proven, no wonder that we get tired and lousy. We cannot influence when the sun rises and sets, but we can influence the lighting mood in our own home since the invention of the light bulb.

In the meantime, however, it's not just about simply illuminating a room, but also about setting it in scene. The “Easy Peasy” table lamp collection, designed by Luca Nichetto for the Italian design studio Lodes, creates this particularly effectively. Lodes, still known as Studio Italia Design until June 2020, celebrated its 70th anniversary this year and is consistently following the path of real “Made in Italy”.

Fashionable lamp

With its metal base and hand-blown glass body, the table lamp ensures a tasteful and stylish appearance – in line with the Italian fashion consciousness – its playful shape brings not only warmth, but also character to every room. Hidden in the base is a battery that can be recharged via a micro USB – easy peasy, child's play.

Incidentally, experts recommend distributing at least five light sources in larger rooms, ceiling lamps provide basic lighting, smaller floor or table lamps set accents. With the “Easy Peasy” lights you would already have four lights together, in two different models and four color combinations, from 245 euros.
