To downgrade from Windows 11 to Windows 10, you need to perform a clean install of the operating system. This is reported by the publication Digital Trends.
Media experts noted that after using Windows 11, which was released in the fall, many consumers decided to return to the previous OS, but experience difficulties in this. The authors described the easiest way to rollback: return to Windows 10 using manipulations in the system settings. To do this, go to Windows Update and find the Update History item.
Then the user must expand the list with updates and select the OS that was installed on the computer. After that, you should click on the “Return to Windows 10” button and wait until the system restore process is completed.
Experts emphasized that this feature is present for 10 days after the installation of Windows 11. “If more than 10 days have passed since the upgrade to Windows 11, then the above method will not work,” the authors noted. In this case, you need to go to the Windows 10 boot page, download the system image to a blank drive, insert it into the PC connector and run a clean install with disk formatting.
Microsoft representatives spoke about the possibility to roll back to Windows 10 within 10 days in the summer. To save all system settings and files before installation, the user will need to back up the data.
