The Minister of Defense of Denmark announced the creation of training bases for the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On Tuesday, September 13, the head of the Ministry of Defense Denmark Morten Bedskou said that, following the example of Great Britain, military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be trained on the territory of his country.
This is reported by Digi24 with reference to the Danish agency Ritzau.
“There will be training in Denmark. I can't provide more details, but there will be training for the Ukrainian army in Denmark,” the Danish defense minister said.
Copenhagen sent instructors to Britain, which took the lead in training fighters for the Ukrainian army. In June, London promised to train 10,000 Ukrainian troops at several British bases in four months.
Like other Western countries, in August Denmark promised to send instructors of 130 officers to Britain to support its initiative. But the organization of training on Danish soil indicates an increase in the involvement of the Scandinavian country, a member of the European Union and NATO.
Recall that earlier, during a visit to Kyiv by Danish Foreign Minister Jeppe Kofod, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the government of this country for the political , financial and armed support during the war.
