Denmark has been one of the most active donor countries since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The Danish authorities decided to increase militaryassistance for Ukraine this year for 630 million US dollars (4.4 billion crowns).
This was stated by the head of the Danish Ministry of Defense Troels Lund Poulsen, reports AFP.
He noted that Denmark has been one of the most active donor countries since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
“We will continue to do this, and so I am glad that the vast majority of parties in parliament support us by adding another 4.4 billion crowns to the Ukraine Fund in 2024 for military aid,” he said.
The fund was created to distribute assistance to Ukraine in the period 2023 – 2028. After the increase in funding, the total volume of the Ukrainian Fund will be 64.8 billion Danish kroner (over $9.3 billion).
We recall that it was previously reported that the Danish Ambassador revealed details of the new aid package for Ukraine.
In addition, we previously reported that the leaders of three EU countries discussed the supply of additional air defense systems to Ukraine.
