RIA Novosti correspondents report that a group of people has gathered in the city center, which advocates the immediate resignation of Trump and Vice President Mike Pence. The protesters chant slogans: “To hell with Trump”, “Trump is stealing our elections” and others. It is noted that activists of the Black Lives Matter movement (BLM, “Black Lives Are Important”) were seen among the demonstrators.

Earlier it was reported that police clashed with protesters from the Black Lives Matter movement at the White House. The clashes began shortly before the closure of sites at Black Lives Matter Plaza in Washington, which is directly opposite the presidential residence. As a result, one person was detained.

November 3 is general election day in the United States. Citizens elect a president and vice president, and 35 senators, the entire House of Representatives, 13 governors and local government representatives will be elected. The current head of state, Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Joe Biden, who served as vice president under Barack Obama, are fighting for the top post.
