A 41-year-old man who planned the premeditated murder of a pregnant woman who used to be his cohabitant was detained in Zhytomyr. He systematically beat and threatened the woman with violence if she did not agree to an abortion.
According to the investigation, the cohabitant acquired a potent medical drug, with which he planned to take the life of both the woman and her unborn child.
The drug cost the man 2.5 thousand hryvnias. Law enforcement officers detained him immediately after the transfer of these funds to the “pharmacist seller”.
It turned out that at first the man actively insisted that his roommate have an abortion.
After the refusal, he began domestic violence, for which the court recently forbade the offender to approach the woman at a certain distance.

– In addition, the courts are considering two cases – concerning the commission of intentional grievous bodily harm and robbery, – the police noted.
Now criminal proceedings have been initiated under Part 3 of Article 15, paragraph 2 of Part 2 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The issue of informing a man about suspicion and the application of a preventive measure in the form of detention in a pre-trial detention center is being resolved.
