MOSCOW, June 8. / TASS /. Subsidence and deformation of the foundation occurred during construction work at the Rocket and Space Corporation (RSC) Energia (part of Roskosmos), the special commission will find out the reasons. This was reported to TASS on Tuesday by the press service of the RKK.
“In the course of construction work on the territory of RSC Energia, soil subsidence and deformation of the foundation of the enterprise's building occurred. To clarify the causes of the incident and eliminate the consequences, an operational commission was created,” the corporation noted.
As RKK clarified, in order to continue the regular work of the corps, the commission is considering various options for moving products to other areas of the enterprise or strengthening the structure.
“Today there is no threat of further deformation of the foundation,” RKK added.
Rocket and Space Corporation Energia is a manufacturer of Soyuz manned spacecraft and Progress transport spacecraft.
