The defense of the accused in the case of the crash of the Malaysian Boeing 777 flight MH17 Oleg Pulatov expressed a desire to interrogate the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov. RIA Novosti reports.

Lawyer Boudewijn van Eyck noted that after the plane crash, the minister published a video on YouTube with the alleged Buk anti-aircraft missile system (SAM). He stressed that the authenticity of the recording is questionable.

“Avakov posted a Youtube link with a video after the disaster. He stated that, apparently, secret units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on July 18 observed the movement of the missile system towards the border with Russia. He also pointed out that this is the Buk, which could have shot down MH17 the day before, ”van Eyck said. He added that the defense would like to interrogate the head of the department as a witness and find out from him how and why the mentioned recording attracted his attention.

Earlier, lawyer Sabine ten Dusshatte called a factor complicating the investigation of the crash of the Malaysian Boeing 777 flight MH17. According to her, the anonymity of the witnesses does not allow assessing the reliability of their testimony. She believes that what was said by such witnesses should be checked more carefully and carefully.

A Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 on flight MH17 from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur was shot down in the skies over the Donetsk region on July 17, 2014. There were 298 people on board, all of whom died. The international investigation team, following the investigation, named the names of the defendants in the case of the Boeing crash. These are Russians Igor Girkin (Strelkov), Oleg Pulatov, Sergey Dubinsky and Ukrainian Leonid Kharchenko. All of them, according to the investigation, are related to the movement of the Buk complex, from which, presumably, the liner was shot down.
