In addition, Trudeau together with the United States, Britain and Japan announced its intention to impose a ban on the import of certain gold goods from Russia, excluding this product from official international markets and further isolating the Russian Federation from international markets.
“Canada firmly believes that Ukrainians deserve to live in peace. Vladimir Putin and his regime have caused untold pain and suffering in Ukraine and around the world. Together with our G7 colleagues, Canada is stepping up our sustained and coordinated pressure to end the war that Vladimir started Putin,” said Justin Trudeau.
