The Viennese got playing time in the test against the Dallas Cowboys on Friday.
Football player Bernhard Seikovits made his first appearance for the NFL team Arizona Cardinals. The tight end from Vienna got minutes on Friday (local time) at 19:16 in the preparatory game over the Dallas Cowboys, mainly in the special teams.
“It was a pleasure to play in front of the home fans,” said Seikovits in a short video on Twitter. The 23-year-old made it to the Cardinals through the NFL's International Player Pathway Program (IPPP).
He hopes to make it into the regular season squad at the end of the preseason. This also applies to running back Sandro Platzgummer, who is already in his second year with the New York Giants.

The Tyrolean might get the chance to show his potential in the team's first preparation game on Monday night (1.30 a.m.) against city rivals New York Jets.
In contrast to Seikovits, Platzgummer is no longer protected by the IPP program, so the Giants could part with the Austrian relatively easily.
