The number of patients in a nursing home in the Belgian city of Mol in the province of Antwerp, who died after the coronavirus-infected Santa Claus visited the institution on St. Nicholas Day, has increased to 23. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to local media.

The alarm was sounded after the actor, who played the fairytale character, tested positive for an infection a few days after the holiday. It turned out that precautions were not taken at the event: not everyone was wearing masks, and the actors did not observe social distance from patients. Presumably, the reason for such a massive infection was poor ventilation of the room.
