We are talking about the cases of the Maidan, the “Kharkov agreements”, the coal business and others.
The DBR has already commented on such allegations. The department stated that a criminal case had been opened on the fact of interference in the work of a law enforcement agency.The law enforcement agency said that some of these reports in the course of Russian military aggression against Ukraine undermine the situation in the state. These people are spreading lies about the work of the law enforcement system, that is, they are trying to destabilize the work of the DBR. According to the DBR, for this, unreliable information is thrown into the information field about the alleged destruction of publicly resonant criminal proceedings.
DBR investigators opened a case on interference in the activities of a law enforcement officer in this regard.
The department emphasized that all criminal cases, including those regarding the “Kharkov agreements”, the dispersal of the Maidan, the “coal case” and others, are being investigated in accordance with plans and they will be brought to court at all times.
DBR explained what they destroyed
The agency, like other law enforcement agencies, at the beginning of the hot phase of the war destroyed only certain material carriers of classified information, as required law. The approval of prosecutors for the destruction of such documents is required only in peacetime. If wartime, then the destruction of classified information does not provide for this.
The DBR notes that these actions were legal and do not affect the quality and completeness of the investigation of any criminal cases. And the accusation that the DBR groundlessly destroyed the documents is not true. They assure that the purpose of such messages is to discredit the Bureau in wartime conditions and unbalance the entire law enforcement system. The attackers also want individual illegally acting officials not to be responsible for this.
The agency urged journalists not to fall for the informational manipulations of “figures” and not to spread manipulations.
DBR suspects who might be behind this
Agency representative Tatyana Sapyan assured that the suspicions do not concern journalists.
But DBR has an idea who might be involved in organizing this particular dirty information campaign to discredit our work and other law enforcement agencies. In an attempt to destabilize the work of the DBR, false information is deliberately thrown into the information field,” she said.
Sapyan assured that no harm was done to these criminal cases. Indeed, in the digital age, recycling paper materials is not something dangerous. As for the suspects, the DBR will not disclose them yet. All work on these documents at the beginning of the invasion was within the law.

It's one thing if on the territory of the city of Kyiv, when it was “hot” on February 24-25. Another thing is if it happened outside the city of the capital,” he said.
At the same time, there was information that the documents were destroyed in the Khmelnytsky region, and the head of the DBR Aleksey Sukachev personally gave instructions. To which Danilov assured that in the modern world nothing can be hidden. Each chain will be dismantled.
“Participants must understand: if someone is involved, they will be responsible for this – it's only a matter of time. If Sukachev ordered, then he will be responsible for it,” said the secretary NSDC.
He also assured that Ukraine would not remain after the war in the state in which it was before February 24, 2022. There will be a new responsible country where everyone should be responsible for their actions. Society will ask everyone without exception.
DBR investigation
- The agency is also working on a number of other criminal cases. In particular, it was reported that the Russian oligarch Churkin tried to deceive the property of the enterprise. To do this, he came up with a criminal scheme to block the auction for the sale of collateral by a Ukrainian bank.
