Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov will fly to Moscow for consultations on bilateral relations on March 20. This is stated in the statement of the diplomatic mission, circulated on Facebook.
During the meetings at the Russian Foreign Ministry and other departments, it is planned to discuss ways to straighten out the Russian-American ties that are in crisis, the embassy explained.
“We are in favor of establishing a dialogue between the two permanent members of the UN Security Council, who bear a special responsibility for international peace and security. We proceed from the premise that good and pragmatic ties between Russia and the United States meet the aspirations of the peoples of our states and the international community, ”the message says.
The Russian diplomatic mission pointed out that the current situation was the result of the purposeful policy of Washington.
On March 17, Russia invited Anatoly Antonov, Ambassador to the United States, to Moscow.
