Danish scientists questioned the theory of the structure of the universe

A group of Danish physicists questioned the theory of the structure of the universe, according to which it consists of 5% of ordinary matter, 25% of dark matter and 70% of dark energy. A brief overview of their work is published on the portal of the University of Copenhagen.

Scientists have come to the conclusion that the ratio in theory may be wrong – dark energy can be replaced by dark matter, presented in the form of magnetic forces.

“We removed dark energy from the equation and added several new properties of dark matter. These properties seem to have the same effect on the expansion of the universe as dark energy, “- said study co-author Steen Harle Hansen.

The authors of the work believe that a quarter of dark matter can be endowed with special qualities. According to the conclusions of scientists, the magnetic force of dark matter affects the expansion of the Universe in the same way as dark energy, which makes 70% of the dark energy in the Universe virtually useless.

However, scientists note that more research is needed to confirm the hypothesis, as it may just be a coincidence.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the study of distant planets is very important for all inhabitants of the Earth, as it can become the basis for applied research and possible discoveries.
