Danish official fainted during vaccination press conference
Tanya Eriksen, director of the pharmacovigilance department of the Danish Medicines Agency, fainted during a press conference on vaccinations, local TV2 reported.
Eriksen fell unconscious in the middle of a speech by the head of the health department, Serena Brustrom. Due to the incident, the press conference had to be interrupted.
The official was urgently taken to the hospital in the emergency room, but later the authorities said that nothing threatened the official's health. The cause of Eriksen's fainting has not been reported.
During a press conference at which the incident happened, the Danish authorities announced a complete rejection of the use of the AstraZeneca vaccine. Some time after the incident, the event resumed.
