Ukraine does not see Russia's intentions to carry out a new invasion of Ukrainian territories in the coming days.
This was stated by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov on the air of the Right to Power program.
– Starting from October 30, 2021, we receive data from the intelligence community about the processes that exist today. I cannot confirm that everything we have is 100% the same with our partners. However, most of the information was confirmed, we took the appropriate steps and did not sit idly by,” he said.
Alexey Danilov separately commented on the statements of the US State Department that in the coming days the Russian President plans to launch a new, full-scale attack on Ukraine.
– If we talk about a full-scale operation in our country, we do not see this. What do we see today? We see provocations from the Russian Federation, which they constantly committed, but today it was a daring and massive provocation,” Alexey Danilov said.
He recalled that today there was a massive provocation from Russia, when militants in the Donbass fired at a kindergarten and other infrastructure facilities near Stanytsia Luhanska.
– What is their purpose? So that we begin to respond militarily. In order to accuse us later that we have involvement – what they would like to unfold on our territory. We must be restrained and not fall for provocations,” the NSDC Secretary said.
Prior to this, US President Joe Biden assessed the situation on the Ukrainian-Russian border, saying that the risk of a full-scale Russian offensive remains high.
