Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexei Danilov met with Tobias Tyberg & # 8212; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Sweden to Ukraine.
They discussed the situation in the world and the region, in particular the migration crisis on the border between Poland and Belarus, as well as the intensification of the Russian Federation's aggression.
Aleksey Danilov noted the importance of the implementation of the Minsk agreements. In his opinion, Russia is pulling troops to the Ukrainian border, to destabilize the whole of Europe .
– This is not only a question of Ukraine. For the Russian Federation, the number one task is to destabilize all of Europe, undermine the EU's unity as much as possible.
The NSDC Secretary is confident that Ukraine will not allow a repeat of the 2014 scenario and will be able to fight back.
– They will never win here, no one is waiting for them here. Our people are free and capable of giving an adequate response to the aggressor.
Danilov said that Russia's aggression is manifested not only in the military plane. The Russian Federation is also trying to destabilize the situation in the energy sector and undermine the internal situation through agents of influence.
Tobias Tyberg stressed that Sweden supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, is ready to provide assistance and expand cooperation.
On December 3, Aleksey Danilov held a meeting on the implementation of the requirements of the draft law On the Foundations of National Resistance. He said that the Territorial Defense Forces must be formed as soon as possible.
He also stressed. that local government and local government should contribute to the formation of a core of territorial defense in each community.
