Oksana Mikhaleva, endocrinologist, nutritionist of the SM-Clinic, in an interview with the Prime agency, named dangerous combinations of dishes on the New Year's table.
According to her, the consumption of alcoholic beverages along with a large amount of fatty foods can provoke acute pancreatitis. To avoid this, the specialist advised to limit the dressing of salads with mayonnaise, replacing it with low-fat sour cream or yogurt.
Also, the nutritionist advised not to make a lot of salads. “Eating a large variety of foods on one New Year's Eve is tough on the digestive system and is a risk factor,” she said.
Mikhaleva added that when preparing Olivier salad, it is better to replace sausage with chicken fillet, and for herring under a fur coat, choose not the fattest herring and limit mayonnaise. She also advised to give up fatty desserts.
Earlier, the Russians were warned about the rise in price of the New Year's table. Economists Maslennikov and Margolin reported an increase in the price of sweets, champagne, fresh fruits, vegetables, red fish and caviar. It is also predicted that the price of raw smoked and dry-cured sausages will rise (by 10-15 percent), as well as eggs.
