The attackers set fire to one boat, but the fire spread to neighboring vessels, causing a large-scale fire.

Croatian police are searching for three Ukrainian citizens suspected of deliberately setting fire to the port of Medulin. As a result of the large-scale fire, 35 small vessels – yachts, boats and motorboats – were destroyed or significantly damaged.

Jutarnji List writes about this.

According to the investigation, on May 14, three Ukrainians aged 25 to 28, acting by prior agreement, arrived in Croatia from Poland by car. They parked near the port of Medulin and then walked to the pier where small watercraft are moored.

One of the attackers climbed over the pier fence while his accomplices were on guard. The suspect approached one of the boats, which belonged to a 65-year-old Croatian, and threw a Molotov cocktail onto the deck, causing a fire to break out on the vessel.

The fire quickly spread to neighboring vessels. As a result, 22 vessels burned completely, and another 13 were significantly damaged. The damage from the fire is estimated at 2 million euros.

The police reported that, according to available information, the perpetrators left Croatia after committing the arson. It appears that their location is known to the police, but this information is not being disclosed in the interests of the investigation.

Information about the suspects has been sent to the prosecutor's office of the corresponding country. The investigation is awaiting an international arrest warrant for the suspects.

Recall that six people are accused of setting fire to warehouses owned by Ukrainians in London, having ties to a terrorist organization, and spying for Russia.
