Czech surrenders pink tank to police during arms amnesty
In the Czech Republic, a man took advantage of the country's arms amnesty and handed over a pink T-34 tank to the police. In addition to this combat vehicle, there is an SU-100 artillery mount in the Czech's garage, the newspaper Mlada Fronta Dnes writes.
As noted, the man has been the owner of this technique legally since the 90s, however, he did not know if it was hollowed out. Law enforcement authorities examined the tank and the artillery installation and decided to transfer it to the category of “prohibited weapons”. In this case, it is not possible to shoot from them. But since the technique is not dangerous, the Czech will continue to own it.
Recall that in January, an arms amnesty was announced in the Czech Republic, which will last until July. Residents of the country under the amnesty can surrender any weapon to law enforcement agencies.
Earlier in Italy, a tank fired at a chicken farm by mistake during a military exercise. The incident took place in the province of Pordenone (Friuli-Venezia region).
