Alexander Golubev, head of information security at VimpelCom, said that one of the main signs of hacking a device is an unnaturally fast discharge of the battery. The fact is that undeclared software is constantly running on the smartphone in the background, thus “consuming” the battery charge.
– When it comes to banking Trojans, miners, spyware and stalker software, we can only name a few indirect signs of infection. This is the consumption of a large volume of Internet traffic, the appearance of strange notifications or programs that you did not install yourself. In addition, after a smartphone is hacked, antivirus software may be blocked, even restarting the device will not help, ”said Dmitry Galov, cybersecurity expert at Kaspersky Lab, in an interview with RIA Novosti.
Another sign of a jailbreak can be the phone rebooting itself for no apparent reason. You should also be on your guard if there is an incomprehensible noise while talking on the phone.
Experts noted that if a user found signs of such an “infection” on a smartphone, then the device should be scanned with antivirus and the malicious software should be removed.
