The many bugs at the start of Cyberpunk 2077 could result in numerous class actions.
The series of breakdowns related to Cyberpunk 2077 (for the futurezone test) has caused a lot of frustration so far. Now CC Projekt Red may even be sued for this. Bloomberg reports that a company called Rosen Law has announced it will launch a class action lawsuit against the Cyberpunk 2077 game maker.
Investors were deceived by hiding the “true status” of the game before it was released and that Cyberpunk 2077 was “almost unplayable” due to the numerous errors. Shareholders in the US can join the class action lawsuit even if there is no chief attorney assigned to do it, Engadget reports.
Multiple plans
This class action could only be the first step, Engadget expects further legal action against the makers of Cyberpunk 2077. Investors in Poland are also considering a class action, reported the New York Times.
CD Projekt Red has sold around 13 million copies of the game to date. The latest patch 1.06 should not only prevent crashes on PS4 and Xbox One, but also fix one of the worst errors on the PC.
