Cyberpunk 2077 developers apologized for the quality of the game

The creators of Cyberpunk 2077 have apologized for the problems with the game. The corresponding message was published on the website of the studio CD Projekt RED.

Representatives of the company first apologized for not being able to show the game on base consoles before its release. “We should have paid more attention to making the game work better on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One,” the message says. The studio also acknowledged errors and glitches associated with the launch of the game on consoles from Sony and Microsoft of the previous generation.

According to CD Projekt RED, the first update is already available to users, the second is expected within the next seven days. The company has promised to continue working on fixing bugs and improving the quality of the title after the holidays – in January and February, patches number 1 and 2 will be released, respectively. “Together, they must address some of the biggest challenges players face on legacy consoles,” said the studio.

The company confirmed that the game looks worse on previous generation consoles than on high-spec PCs, but after the updates “the quality will improve markedly.” Representatives of CD Projekt RED also said that disgruntled gamers will be able to get money back for copies of the game – for this you need to use the PSN or Xbox return system.

Previously, journalists and gamers said that Cyberpunk 2077 is not optimized to run on older consoles, and criticized the game. Users reported experiencing dropped frame rates, texture rendering errors, and UI errors when playing on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Cyberpunk 2077 was released on the night of December 10, preceded by a series of delays.
