The developers of the Crysis 2 remaster have published a fresh piece of information about the upcoming release. It turned out that the PC version of the game will differ slightly from the console version.
So, the variant of the Crytek project for computers will support two technologies at once, which will be exclusive to the platform – shadows on the water and ray tracing, reports DSOGaming.
The latter is especially ironic, given that when promoting the same PlayStation 5, Sony made a separate bold emphasis on introducing realistic reflection in games for its console.
A full list of what the developers have implemented in Crysis 2 Remastered can be found below:
TAA (Temporal Anti-Aliasing); HDR (coming with day 1 patch); Improved Parallax Occlusion Mapping; SSS (Screen Space Shadows); SSDO (Screen Space Directional Occlusion); SSGI (Screen Space Global Illumination); SVOGI (Voxel-based Global Illumination); SSR; NVIDIA DLSS; Improved shadows (both on environments and on particles); Water shadows (PC only); Improved reflections; Improved lighting; Ray tracing (only on PC); 60fps up to 4K resolution on PS5 and Xbox Series X.
