Criminals caught smuggling drugs in marble in Spain

In Alicante in the southeast of Spain, a group of criminals was detained who smuggled drugs into the country in marble blocks. Reported by The Guardian.

In total, the police seized 752 kilograms of methamphetamine. It was packed in sealed cylindrical containers and hidden in marble slabs. Their weight reached 25 tons.

It is noted that the drug imported into Spain was then distributed throughout Europe. On the trail of the criminals came out after the Spanish police noticed the activity of a small Mexican office, suddenly engaged in the supply of marble to Spain. The attention was drawn to how the suppliers got down to work without the necessary expertise and funds.

On January 29, the US Border Guard discovered the record-long tunnel from Tijuana, Mexico, to San Diego, California. The length of the tunnel is more than 1.3 thousand meters, the height is about 1.7 meters, and the width is just over 60 centimeters. It took place under the “Donald Trump Wall” – a barrier built by the current US administration on the border with Mexico.
