Crew Dragon with four astronauts splashed down in the Gulf of Mexico
The Crew Dragon-1 spacecraft successfully splashed down in the Gulf of Mexico, NASA reports on Twitter.
On board were NASA astronauts Michael Hopkins, Victor Glover and Shannon Walker, as well as Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) astronaut Soichi Noguchi.
The landing took place at 02.56 US East Coast time (09.56 Moscow time) in the Gulf of Mexico in the US state of Florida. Overall, the flight from the International Space Station to Earth took 6.5 hours.
Earlier it was reported that Crew Dragon undocked from the ISS and returned to Earth.
The Crew Dragon arrived on the ISS in November last year. At the end of April, another Crew Dragon flew in to replace it with a crew of Americans Shane Kimbrow and Megan MacArthur, Japanese Akihiko Hoshide and Frenchman Tom Peske.
