Crew Dragon ship with four astronauts returned to Earth
The Crew Dragon spacecraft with four astronauts on board successfully splashed down in the Gulf of Mexico off the coast of Florida, broadcast on the NASA website.
The ship touched the water at 2:57 US East Coast time (9:57 Moscow time).
About six and a half hours ago, Crew Dragon undocked from the International Space Station to return the crew after a six-month scientific mission to Earth, including astronauts, Americans Michael Hopkins, Victor Glover, Shannon Walker and Japanese Soichi Noguchi.
Recall that the crew of the Crew-1 mission has been on the ISS since November 2020, at the end of April another Crew Dragon flew in to replace them, delivering American astronauts Shane Kimbrow and Megan MacArthur, Japanese Akihiko Hoshide and Frenchman Tom Pesque.
In the meantime, Dmitry Rogozin, the general director of Roscosmos, held a meeting with the cosmonaut corps, discussing with them the creation of a new Russian orbital station.
