The crewed spacecraft Crew Dragon launched to the International Space Station (ISS) on its first operational flight. The broadcast is on the NASA Twitter account.
The launch took place on November 15 at 19:27 US East Coast time (November 16 at 03:27 Moscow time) from the spaceport at Cape Canaveral in the US state of Florida. Initially, the launch of the ship was scheduled for Saturday, November 14, but due to the coastal wind, it was decided to postpone it.
Crew Dragon will be delivered to the ISS using SpaceX's Falcon 9 launch vehicle. There are three American astronauts on board: Commander Michael Hopkins, pilot Victor Glover and specialist Shannon Walker, and Japanese astronaut Soichi Noguchi.
May saw the first crewed launch of Crew Dragon to the ISS, the first to be manned by NASA since July 2011. After that, and until recently, the astronauts to the ISS were delivered by Roskosmos.
