Couple kissing in the street without a mask was fined 400 euros in Italy
In Italy, a couple who took off their protective medical masks for a kiss on the street were fined 400 euros. The incident took place in Milan, the Daily Mail writes.
“After kissing in public on the way to the restaurant, the engaged couple found themselves surrounded by four officers, according to their own version of the incident,” it was reported.
The lovers tried to convince the police that they had been in a relationship for more than two years. However, law enforcement officers found two different addresses in their database.
A man and a woman will now pay 200 euros each for non-compliance with the law, according to which people must wear masks when they are closer than one meter from each other.
According to the latest data, 402,536 people were infected with the coronavirus in Italy, 36,474 died.
