Is the US preparing for war?
On the morning of June 22, the US Secretary of Defense and other senior officials held a press conference to detail the operation. They stressed that the strikes on Iran were not the beginning of a long war. The US had done what it wanted and was not planning any further action.
Not only opponents, but also Trump supporters were not happy. They do not want another war. Therefore, the rhetoric coming from the White House is aimed at calming down those who are in coalition with the president, – said a representative of the Ukrainian Congress of America.
At the same time, it is clear that Iran remains a sponsor of terrorism around the world. It has been responsible for or supported nearly every major terrorist attack since the 1980s. Now even greater protection is needed for American military bases and other facilities.
Recall that on the morning of June 22, Donald Trump made an address in which he announced that the United States had struck three nuclear facilities in Iran. He called it a “historic moment” and added that all American aircraft were already outside Iranian airspace.
