Cosmonauts discovered new cracks in the Russian segment of the ISS

As part of the survey of the Russian segment of the ISS, cosmonauts discovered new cracks in the oldest module of the station – Zarya, said Vladimir Solovyov, chief designer of the Energia rocket and space corporation, flight director of the Russian segment of the ISS, cosmonaut, twice Hero of the Soviet Union.

“Several such places with blind cracks were found in the Zarya module,” Solovyov said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to him, this situation is worrisome.

On February 17, the Progress MS-16 cargo vehicle docked to the International Space Station in teleoperator mode.

After that, Roskosmos announced that several possible air leaks were temporarily sealed on the ISS.
