The new module “Science” will become a favorite place for all crew members of the International Space Station (ISS), the Russian cosmonaut Oleg Artemyev is sure.
“In the module“ Science ”there is a large window, which is directed towards the flight of the station. I am sure that in the future it will be the most favorite pastime not only for cosmonauts, but also for astronauts, ”he said in an interview with TASS.
Oleg Artemyev noted that it is possible to take “gorgeous” pictures of our planet from the window of the Russian module, since its glass is designed in such a way that you can shoot with any camera – both with a large focus and with a small one.
“We should get gorgeous photographs that will replenish the Earth observation archive, and will also be used in the cosmonauts' social networks,” he said.
In addition, according to him, the Nauka module has a new cabin and toilet, so now that there are three Russians on board the ISS, one of them will not have to settle in the American segment or use the astronauts' bathroom if his own breaks down.
Recall, as the website kp.ru wrote, on July 29, a new Nauka module moored to the Zvezda module of the ISS Russian segment, which was launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome on July 21 and launched into orbit by the Proton-M launch vehicle.
