Doctors assess the condition of US President Donald Trump, infected with the coronavirus, with cautious optimism. This was stated by his attending physician Sean Conley, RIA Novosti reports.
“It's too early to say that the worst is over, his team of doctors is cautiously optimistic,” he stressed. According to Conley, the American leader took a second dose of the experimental drug remdesivir, and his blood oxygen saturation remains high at 96-98 percent.
The doctor added that the head of state spent most of the day pursuing his presidential duties, and easily moved around the medical block where he was being treated.
Earlier, Trump's doctor announced that the American leader was doing well. According to him, the president expressed his readiness to be discharged from the hospital, however, the doctors have not yet named the discharge date. The owner of the White House himself later also confirmed his good health.
The American leader announced a positive test for coronavirus on October 2. He added that his wife, Melania Trump, was also diagnosed with the disease. The President promised to immediately begin treatment and quarantine.
