Breathe a sigh of relief at ÖOC! The two athletes who tested positive for Corona are officially registered as healthy again, nothing stands in the way of the Olympics.
Susanne Walli (400m) and Sarah Fischer (weightlifting) each delivered a positive corona test before the Olympic clothing. The athlete gave the all-clear after two days, and Fischer is now negative again.
The weightlifter trained without symptoms in the local barn with trainer dad Ewald – “Today” reported here.
On July 26th, the weightlifter is off to Tokyo. The first Austrians are expected in the Olympic Village.
The rowers around Magalena Lobnig will move into their quarters on Friday. “The framework conditions are of course challenging. But the Japanese organizing committee has done a great job. The Olympic Village is beautiful and quite spacious. The helpers seem very hard-working and friendly,” says ÖOC Secretary General Peter Mennel.
