An employee of an American medical center who spoiled the coronavirus vaccines pleaded guilty. This was reported on the website of the US Department of Justice.
An Aurora Health Care staff member deliberately removed approximately 500 doses of Moderna vaccine from the refrigerator and left them outside the locker overnight. Later, 57 patients of this clinic received the spoiled vaccine.
Stephen Brandenburg now faces up to ten years in prison. The offender admitted that he was skeptical about vaccines in general and Moderna in particular. According to law enforcement officials, the man is a “supporter of conspiracy theories,” according to which the vaccine is not safe for humans and can harm human DNA.
At first, the pharmacist claimed to have left the vaccine outside the refrigerator by accident while taking out other drugs. Later, he said that he had spoiled the drug on purpose and did it repeatedly.
