In 2019, Microsoft revealed that it began using machine learning to improve how Windows Update works. It has now become known that the company has leveraged this technology to automatically update devices to the latest version of Windows 10 21H1.
Automatic Updates covers computers running Windows 10 2004. They will automatically install Windows 10 21H1, released last month, also known as the May Update. It can be seen in Windows Update.
Automatic upgrade started on June 2nd. It will happen gradually, and not for all users at once. The company has pledged that it will continue to use machine learning at all stages to roll out new versions of Windows 10 and ensure smooth upgrades.
