KUBINKA / Moscow region /, August 22. / TASS /. The Kronstadt company is developing a line of unmanned helicopters with a takeoff weight of 350 kg to 1.5 tons. This was announced by the general director of Kronstadt Sergei Bogatikov during the demonstration of a helicopter with a takeoff weight of 450 kg to Deputy Prime Minister Borisov at the Army-2021 forum.
“Now we are actively working to integrate a helicopter-type unmanned complex into our ground control points. A whole line of helicopters from 350 kg of takeoff weight to 1.5 tons is being developed,” Bogatikov said.
According to him, the system being developed by the company will make it possible to simultaneously use the helicopter and the Orion UAV from one point. “The idea is that Orion is conducting reconnaissance of the area over large areas, detecting fires, and the helicopter is performing an operation to extinguish local fires,” explained the general director of the company.
“The new scheme of operation of the Kronstadt drones will make it possible to see the incipient fire, fix and localize it, preventing its spread,” the press service of the company explained.
Earlier it was reported that the company “Kronshtadt” for the first time presented at the forum “Army-2021” an unmanned helicopter BVS-VT 450, capable of operating in any region – from the Arctic to the desert.
