Commission in Montenegro will consider the issue of granting asylum to Ismailov

The issue of granting political asylum in Montenegro to the former owner of the Cherkizovsky market Telman Ismailov will be considered on November 12. His lawyer Marina Rusakova told TASS about this.

According to her, it depends on the decision of the commission whether the businessman is subject to extradition or not.

Ismailov was detained after filing an application for political asylum in Montenegro. On October 2, the Podgorica court arrested him. The lawyers appealed the decision as “illegal and unfounded”.

Note that the entrepreneur was detained on a search warrant issued by Russia. He is accused in absentia of organizing the murder of the owner of shopping malls Vladimir Savkin and the founder of Lyublino-Motors, Yuri Brilev.
