In the committee of inquiry into Commerzialbank Mattersburg (Cb) the questioning of former governor Hans Niessl (SPÖ) is on the program on Thursday. The main topic will be the statement by ex-bank boss Martin Pucher that Niessl received gold platelets from the bank in his 50s, 60s and when he left office. The former governor vehemently rejects this – all gifts went to a social fund, he said.
Niessl is the first person to provide information on Thursday. His questioning should begin at 9.15 a.m. The information from an employee of the National Bank, who is on Pucher's gift list and is said to have attended a match at the 2008 European Football Championship at the invitation of the bank manager, is also eagerly awaited. In addition, ex-Economic Councilor Karl Kaplan (ÖVP), who, according to Pucher, was also given a gift, the former ÖVP club chairman and Second State Parliament President Rudolf Strommer and Hirmer Mayor Inge Posch-Gruska (SPÖ) are invited.
