Colleagues of the founder of the Sputnik and Pogrom project, blocked in Russia, Yegor Prosvirnin, considered his death an accident. They announced this on social networks, reports TASS.

“All the circumstances of his death known to us indicate that it was an unfortunate, tragic, monstrous incident. Egor did not plan to commit suicide, ”the message says. The journalist's colleagues said that Prosvirnin's death was “a terrible accident.”

On December 27, it became known that a naked man fell out of the window of a multi-storey building in the center of Moscow and died before the doctors arrived. It was alleged that a knife and pepper spray were lying near the body. Later, relatives identified the deceased and confirmed that he was 35-year-old Prosvirnin. He suffered a serious head injury and died before the ambulance arrived.

In July 2017, Roskomnadzor added the Sputnik and Pogrom website to the list of blocked resources. The reason was the propaganda on the resource “the idea of national and religious hatred, which forms threats to public security, encourages extremism.”
