Coach Mishin about figure skater Tuktamysheva: despite her talents, she fails to reach the top

Honored coach of Russia Alexei Mishin reacted to the absence of Elizaveta Tuktamysheva in the main squad of the Russian national team for the European Championship. His words are quoted by Match TV.
“There are athletes who, despite all the talents, fail to reach the top in the medal standings,” the specialist said. He added that instead, the sport gave Tuktamysheva great love from the fans.
Earlier, on December 26, the Russian Figure Skating Federation presented the composition of the country's national team for the upcoming European Championship. In women's single skating, the team will be represented by Kamila Valieva, Alexandra Trusova and Anna Shcherbakova. Tuktamysheva was included in the list of substitutes for the tournament.
At the Russian championship held in St. Petersburg, Valieva took the first place in women's single skating. Trusova became a silver medalist. The third result was shown by Shcherbakova. Tuktamysheva is in seventh place.
