Climate change: the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere peaks
The concentration of greenhouse gases in the Earth's atmosphere has peaked since 2003. It's about methane and carbon dioxide. And man is to blame for everything. Forests are being cut down, and industrial enterprises also have a negative impact on the lungs of our planet. And the problem of climate change must be solved, the MIR 24 TV channel reports.
Vladimir Putin, during the announcement of the annual message to the Federal Assembly, proposed creating a system for controlling carbon emissions in Russia.
“Over the next 30 years, the accumulated volume of net greenhouse gas emissions in Russia should be less than in the European Union. This is a daunting task given the size of our country, its geography, climate and economic structure. However, I am absolutely sure that such a goal, taking into account our scientific and technological potential, is absolutely achievable, ”the Russian leader said.
