The Moldovagaz company called on the citizens of Moldova to temporarily reduce their daily gas consumption due to the tense situation in the energy market.
“In connection with the announced“ alarm mode ”in the gas supply sector in Moldova, Moldovagaz JSC asks all end consumers to show understanding and civil responsibility by temporarily reducing the daily consumption of natural gas,” the company said in a Facebook post.
Residents of the country were asked to turn off individual heating systems while they are not at home or in the workroom.
The company also proposed to reduce the power consumption of gas appliances at night.
Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure of Moldova Andrei Spinu said that the Commission for Emergency Situations decided to introduce an “alarm regime” in the energy sector in the country in connection with the situation on the gas market.
