The world is fighting the second wave of the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. Since the beginning of the pandemic, more than 43.2 million inhabitants of the planet have been infected. According to the Worldometer portal, more than 1.1 million people have died from the consequences of the COVID-19 disease caused by the virus, and over 31 million patients have recovered. The Israeli government commission to combat the spread of coronavirus decided on Sunday to extend the country's restrictions on businesses and economic activity until November 1. This was announced by the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

At the same time, some quarantine restrictions are being lifted in the country. In particular, from November 1, although not in full volume, school activities for pupils of the first and second grades are resumed.

The Spanish government has declared a state of emergency to create a legal basis for tighter quarantine restrictions. It is expected to last for at least two weeks. To further extend the state of emergency, in accordance with the Spanish constitution, an appropriate decision of the parliament will be required. According to the Prime Minister of the Kingdom, Pedro Sánchez, he hopes that the parliament will allow the state of emergency to be extended until May 9, since “Europe and Spain are now at the epicenter of the second wave of the pandemic.”

The head of government (Chairman of the Council of Ministers) of Bulgaria Boyko Borisov contracted COVID-19. He announced this on October 25 on Facebook. “After two PCR tests, positive results for COVID-19 have been obtained today. I have a general malaise, at the moment, on the instructions of doctors, I remain on treatment at home,” he said. According to the prime minister, all information about his contacts has been transferred to the regional health inspectorate. “I am sure that if all the measures are followed, I can handle it!” – added the prime minister. According to Borisov, he postponed all meetings and participation in any public events until October 30.
