Christmas miracle: son found his father who disappeared for 11 years
Jason Kelly, 23, had not seen his father in 11 years and was desperate to track him down, especially after learning that he had lived on the street for several years.
Jason's father – David Kelly, 67 years old, left the family and divorced his wife when his son was two years old. After that, the father and son kept in touch for several years, but David's relationship with his ex-wife deteriorated, and then stopped altogether.
The father also disappeared from the life of his son. But Jason was looking for his father all the time. He even ran an ad in the Liverpool Echo newspaper on December 23rd with the only photograph of David taken in the late 1990s. And it helped – someone recognized the man in the photo!
Jason was given the address of his father, where he lived. On Christmas Eve, Jason went to the house where his father had lived for the past few years. The door was opened by a woman of about seventy and said that his father lived at this address, but went out for a run. When Jason was about to leave his number, he noticed his father on the street and went to meet him, but he, shocked, began to run away.
“Dad, it's me, Jason, I shouted, but he ran away. I caught up with him and walked beside him. Recognizing me, he stared at me and started asking about my family, trying to remember my date of birth. At that moment, he did not want to look at me because his eyes were full of tears, ”Jason shared with Metro .
Jason added that meeting his father is a real Christmas miracle, because when his father ran away, he realized that such an outcome was most afraid of.
“But finding him before Christmas was amazing. I dreamed about it, and this miracle happened, ”the guy admitted.
Jason spent Christmas with his mother, brother and sister, then visited his father with a Christmas treat and presented him with a cell phone so they could keep in touch.
A similar story happened on the eve of Catholic Christmas in Brazil. There the family recognized a relative who had disappeared 10 years ago in the trimmed homeless man.
