Chlorinated water kills coronavirus in 30 seconds
Researchers from the English Imperial College concluded that coronavirus infection is practically unable to survive in chlorinated water. It is reported by the Daily Express.
Virologists said that people can visit swimming pools and not be afraid that they can catch the coronavirus there. As a result of research, scientists have found that COVID-19 is sensitive to chlorine. At a concentration of 1.5 mg per liter of free chlorine with a pH of 7 to 7.2, the aggressiveness of the virus decreases more than a thousand times in 30 seconds.
Virologists note that with proper filtration, the pools can be visited even during the coronavirus pandemic.
Earlier, scientists said that the poison of Nikolsky's vipers is effective against coronavirus. These reptiles are found in the southwest of Russia, as well as in some regions of Ukraine. Their venom best suppresses the activity of the causative agent of coronavirus infection.
