Moscow. 3 July. INTERFAX.RU – The China Corporation of Space Science and Technology (CASC) has successfully launched five Earth remote sensing satellites into heliosynchronous orbit using a Changzheng 2D launch vehicle from the Taiyuan cosmodrome in Shanxi province in northern China, Xinhua news agency reported.
The Jilin-1 01B, Xinshidai-10 satellites and the three Jilin-1 Gaofeng 03D satellites were launched into orbit on Saturday at 10:51 Beijing time.
The first stage of the rocket was fired by four YF-21C engines using self-igniting propellants. Then, after separating the first stage, the YF-24C second stage engine was turned on. The rocket stages are believed to have fallen into China's overland territory.
This flight was the 376th in a row for the launch vehicles of the Changzheng (Long March) series, as well as the 20th space launch of the PRC in 2021.
