Chinese journalist admired Russian cemeteries

by alex

A journalist for the Chinese edition “Huangqiu Shibao” admired Russian cemeteries. He called them “park-like”.

In particular, the author was impressed by the Moscow Novodevichye Cemetery, where many Russian celebrities are buried. According to the Chinese, this place represents “the highest level of Russian tombstone culture.”

The journalist also noted that other cemeteries are also interesting to study. The author drew attention to the fact that Russian gravestones have various shapes. Moreover, they are colorful and even tragicomic. At the same time, the tombstones represent a “three-dimensional biography” of the deceased and tell about his hobbies and occupation:

“On the tombstone there may be not only a photograph of the owner of the grave, but also images of pets, household items, and others. On some of the tombstones, there may even be a sculpture of a car that the deceased drove during his lifetime.”

We will remind, earlier “Rambler” reported that ex-musician of the group “Resurrection” Andrey Sapunov died.
