The Chinese Foreign Ministry said that Russia's proposals on security guarantees increase mutual trust between countries and reduce the risk of conflict. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of the department.
“China believes that in the current situation, the Russian proposals comply with the basic norms of international relations, help to increase mutual trust between countries, reduce the risk of conflicts, and uphold global and regional strategic stability,” the Foreign Ministry said.
Earlier, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that China's friendly relations with Russia will not weaken, regardless of the situation in the international arena. He stressed that the two countries are “united like a rock,” and the Sino-Russian friendship, passed down from generation to generation, will always be strong.
